On June 10th the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources conducted a Hearing to Conduct Oversight of the Colorado River Basin, including post-2026 Operations Negotiations. In addition, the Upper Colorado River Commission (UCRC) provided recent relevant correspondence with the Department of the Interior and Bureau of Reclamation for the hearing record. The letters outline comments from the Upper Division States (UDS) through the UCRC to Reclamation’s most recent post-2026 operating concepts and concepts from the UDS regarding 2027 – 2028 potential operations.
